Tru-flex is manufactured in Australia under licence from America by Dulux Pty Ltd. Dulux also offer a six year warranty on the Tru-flex surface as well as the warranty offered by Recreational Surfacing Pty Ltd. Tru-flex is probably the finest recreational acrylic surface available in the world today. Recreational Surfacing Pty Ltd has been using Tru-flex for the past 30 years. Tru-flex is 100% sand filled acrylic emulsion that has surfaced over 8000 sporting venues throughout Australia over the years. The product is non slip in wet or dry conditions, has duller colour pigmentation for lower eye fatigue and utilises a specially rounded silica sand that gives a surface that does not unnecessarily abrade shoes. Specially reinforced colour pigments give the surface a sharp colour that will not fade under the severe ultra violet rays of the sun.
There are many colour options.
The court shall be acid etched with a mild acid to remove all dirt and debris.
One coat of cement emulsion shall be applied to the surface to ensure that there is a complete bond between the Tru-flex surface and the concrete or asphalt.
Two coats of Tru-flex filler shall be applied to the surface. The Tru-flex filler is a carefully designed system of acrylic coatings for recreational uses. The Tru-flex filler is resistant to damaging ultra violet rays of the sun, extreme temperature changes and surface water. The product is formulated with 100% acrylic emulsion and dries rapidly to form a long wearing colour surface of uniform texture that reduces the surface temperature by 10-15 degrees F.
One coat of Tru-flex finish shall be applied to the surface. The Tru-flex finish has the same chemical make up as the Tru-flex filler without the fully rounded sand additive. The Tru-flex finish protects the filler coats.
The area shall be marked for tennis with Tru-flex textured line marking paint. This paint is an extremely high hiding, one coat covering, 100% acrylic paint, carefully formulated for use on recreational areas. The use of Tru-flex line marking paint results in clean, clear cut lines. The Tru-flex marking paint is designed to give superior lines on all types of concrete courts, asphaltic or acrylic surfaces and is recommended for use over all Tru-flex colour coating systems.
